It is ideal for institutions with IT-managed deployment of software in bulk to users within the institution, either over network (e.g., VMs accessed via RDP), or traditional desktop installs. In contrast to the standard products that adopt a "named user" licensing model that meters user-specific activations, the network license only meters the total number of concurrent activations. We understand that the end-users’ institutions may have additional regulatory and compliance requirements that necessitate changes to the end-user license agreement. Additional fees will be assessed if changes are proposed to cover the cost of negotiations.

Research conducted within an academic institution but completed as part of a contract or ‘for hire’ relationship is not considered ‘basic research’ for licensing purposes.
